White Orchids in Charcoal

Drawing White Orchids, greatly enlarged, in charcoal was a challenge. Because it was such a large drawing, and drawn flat on a table, it was physically challenging to get into the centre of the work. I began by drawing these small Orchid flowers life size in graphite, so that I could fully understand the structure, before moving on to the larger charcoal drawing. |
